We offer a low coach to diver ratio. Camp attendance is limited to 30 divers per week, allowing us to maintain a ratio of about 1 coach to 6 divers.

Facility
The UM Aquatic Center features a separate diving well with two 3m 'Model B' boards, two 1m 'Model B' boards, a bubbler agitation system under the 3m and platforms and a 5, 7.5 and 10m platform - all of which are covered with rough-tex surface. A trampoline and a dryboard are also used for teaching diving.

Housing and Recreation
Divers will stay in one of the dormitories on the UM campus overlooking the Mississippi River and the skyline of downtown Minneapolis. Live-in counselors and camp instructors will provide 24-hour supervision. All rooms are double occupancy. Three meals a day will be served in the dormitory cafeteria. An evening activity, such as a movie or a trip to the Mall of America (the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the US), will be offered each night. Any costs for the evening activities are the responsibility of the athlete.

Camp training is designed to meet the needs of all skill levels and abilities for children ages 10 and older.

Travel
The Minneapolis International Airport is served by all major airlines and it is 20 minutes from the UM Aquatic Center. Campers should arrive between 12 and 3.30pm on Sunday. Campers arriving at the airport will be picked up and taken to campus. Registration will take place in the lobby of Frontier Hall between 12 and 3.30pm. All campers will go to the pool at 5.00pm for diving and evaluation.

Orientation
There will be an orientation meeting at 3.30pm on Sunday at the pool during each camp session. Parents are welcome.

Things to Bring
General toiletries, casual clothing, waterproof jacket/umbrella, athletic bag, towels, swimsuits, workout clothing, athletic shoes and between $70-$100 for a week's spending money for snacks and activities.

Tuition and Enrollment
Because of our new on-line registration system our tuition fees have increased slightly.

Resident Campers: Tuition for resident campers is $610 for each session. Cost includes housing, meals, training, local transportation and a camp T-shirt.
Tuition for two sessions is $1260 (includes two night's extra housing).
Tuition for three sessions is $1785 (includes four night's extra housing).

Commuter Campers: Tuition for commuter campers is $505 per session (8.30am-5pm). Commuters are encouraged to take part in the evening activities.
Tuition for two sessions is $998
Tuition for three sessions is $1492

NOTE: All participants must have proof of United States Diving or AAU membership for 2008. If you are not a 2008 member, you must sign up at USADiving Online or AAU Online prior to completing your application for camp.

Camp Policies

  • All applications require a $200/week non-refundable deposit.
  • If a camper needs to arrive early or stay late for any reason, there will be a $50/night charge. Transportation to and from the airport will be provided.
  • Camp confirmation and any additional registration materials will be sent upon receipt of application and deposit.
  • Application deadline with deposit only: May 1, 2008. After May 1, 2008 please submit full payment with your application.
  • Cancellation policy: Forfeit deposit. No changes or refunds one month prior to the start of the camp session assigned.
  • Full tuition balance is due by May 18, 2008.
